Villamartin is a large urbanisation just 10 minutes drive inland from the coast of the Costa Blanca with all kinds of property for sale. It is made up of a large residential area and two top class golf courses, Campo de Golf Villamartin and Campo de Golf Las Ramblas. A relatively new addition to the area, Villamartin was founded in the 1970's and quickly started to grow in popularity and therefore size mainly due to the attraction of golfing enthusiasts.
Today the area is host to a thriving mainly English speaking residential community as well as a huge tourist population who find it to be the perfect hub from which all the attractions of the Costa Blanca area accessible. The central point of Villamartin itself is almost certainly the plaza, located close to Villamartin golf course, where there are a number of shops, a bank, medical facilities and a host of bars, nightclubs and a huge range of restaurants catering for every taste from Indian and Chinese to traditional Spanish and English meals.
There is plenty to do around in Villamartin and the surrounding area even for those not interested in golf. The fantastic blue flag beaches of La Zenia, Playa Flamenca, Punta Prima and Cabo Roig are all within a few minutes drive where you can sample all the usual seaside activities such as sailing, diving and fishing etc, but in these towns can also be found some superb street markets, plenty of history as well as many family focused attractions such as go-karting, paintballing and the aquapark at Torrevieja.
