Our Spanish property tours are flexible and evolve over the tour as you get closer to finding an ideal property in an area you love. Tours can be taken over a week or a long weekend. The following is an example of a tour itinerary followed by Mr & Mrs Robbins who fell in love with an apartment with views over the bay and harbour in February 2006.

Day 1 Phil & Alison Robbins landed at Murcia Airport on Monday afternoon where they were met by their Tour guide Jennie Williams. Jennie moved to Spain with her husband four years ago and bought a Spanish property herself, so she well knows the issues involved when thinking of buying a property in Spain. That evening after settling into the hotel Phil, Alison and Jennie sat down to dinner to discuss their requirements.

Day 2 After breakfast at the hotel, they set off to spend the day touring the Murcia area and exploring the local sites. They were looking for somewhere near supermarkets and shops with a little bit of life, and no more than a 10 minute walk to the beach. They also wanted to be within a 45 minute drive of Murcia airport. After spending some time a little bit further south in the Mar Menor area of Costa Calida they finally decided to look closer at a few properties in and around Punta Prima just twenty five minutes from the airport.

Day 3 Phil & Alison were looking for either a generous three bedroom apartment or a small villa and proceeded to spend the day looking at a number of properties that Jennie thought they would like. Although they fell in love with one particular apartment overlooking the nearby harbour they decided to make the most of their time and keep on looking.

Day 4 After viewing another apartment and two more villas in the morning they decided to go back to the apartment they saw yesterday to discuss it further with the builder, it suited them perfectly being in such a fine location, but they wanted more details in order to make a decision. That afternoon they decided to buy but thought it prudent to sleep on it for one more night before deciding to make an offer.

Day 5. On Friday morning, certain that they had made the right decision, Phil & Alison put down a 3000 Euro deposit (approximately £2050) and set off to see Jose Enrique, a local Spanish Solicitor, to instruct him to act on their behalf regarding the purchase. They then spent the rest of the day on the beach before flying home to Bristol that evening.

Please note tours are for people who have a genuine interest in purchasing a Spanish property and are usually for two adults, due to the comprehensive nature of our tours children can only be accommodated by special arrangement.
